Very peaceful place to sit and eat your lunch and then take a walk around the beautiful native wetlands. Wildlife abounds here. In just five minutes today we saw spoonbills, arena, an echidna, magpie, kookaburra and skinks.Be aware that there are no facilities here (toilets, rubbish bins etc), so be prepared to take all your rubbish out with you.
I never pass through Yea without a quick visit to the wetlands. Lots of easy to spot birds accompanied by a frog chorus. A lovely way to spend an hour and break up the road trip.
